The American Revolution

Thomas Scott enlisted as a Private in the 10th Virginia Regiment on January 11, 1777.  He spent the winter of 1777-1778 at Valley Forge.  When the Virginia 10th Regiment arrived at Valley Forge they numbered 442 men, of which there were 5 named Scott.

General Charles Scott was at Valley Forge in Command of the Virginia 12th Regiment.
In 1779 a George Scott is listed on the Muster Roll as serving as replacement for R. Scott.
During 1779 the Muster Rolls show Thomas and Drury Scott are on “furlough and supposed with Genl Scott at the Southward”.
General Charles Scott was captured by the British in the Carolinas in 1780.

My guess is that some, if not all, of these Scott men were related.  I hope to hear from descendants of some of these men.
